This painting was a study done while working on a commission on the official national poster commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act. This acrylic on paper painting portrays an American Bald Eagle above a map of the United States. In the background are portraits of early wilderness activists, Theodore Roosevelt, Rachel Carson and others. Click on this link to view the final poster.
