"I had several elk and deer antlers lying around a corner of my studio and their sinuous shapes suggested the initial drawing for Remnants. As I worked, other forms and images began to emerge. These relate to visual associations I had about the relationship between man and animals in mythology and ritual. Some of the figures are historic, others are glyphs of my own invention."
