An acrylic on paper color study for an original acrylic on panel painting, painted live in the gallery at an event for Animeals, a no kill animal shelter and animal food bank in Montana. Finished later in the studio the painting was auctioned to benefit Animeals and was later released as a limited edition archival digital print in 2010. In this image a wondering cat witnesses an autumn moonrise through hawthorn trees on the flanks of Mount Jumbo in Missoula, Montana.
