"Glacier Safe Passage-Reconnecting the Crown of the Continent is an invitation to envision a future where the fractured landscapes of Montana's crown ecosystems are stitched back together.

Created in a magical realist style reminiscent of some of my other environmental artworks, this large scale painting attempts to capture a deeply urgent reality.  In the painting we observe a grand parade of many of Montana's native species harmoniously traversing a living wildlife overpass. Beneath their hooves and paws the frantic mechanical world of rushing cars and roaring trains cuts through the valley. Flanked by the timeless looming sentinels of the Rocky Mountains the bridge stands as a monument of hope, linking the protected sanctuaries of Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

By blending realism with a touch of the wondrous, this painting serves as a visual manifesto to champion and accelerate support for building these critical wildlife crossings illustrating how thoughtful landscape architecture can protect both wild animals and human travelers ensuring our shared home remains whole and safe."
