Coolidge Corner is a poster created in 1982 promoting the Coolidge Corner theater in Boston, Massachusetts. This poster features Charlie Chaplin and Virginia Cherrill in their roles for the silent film City Lights. City Lights began filming in 1928 and finished production in 1931-the era in which Hollywood had converted to sound films.
Despite pressure from Hollywood, Chaplin pushed to release the movie as a silent film. City Lights is considered one of the great American films.
