"Four nudes, four cultures. I made this painting as one of my 'couch' series thinking about a Montana River angling trip and the reference my male friends used to describe both a nice fish and an attractive woman. Culturally, the classic paintings of women hanging on the wall from left to right are an American female nude by Carl Freiseke, a Japanese woodblock print of a courtesan by Utamaro, and a reclining nude by Modigliani, during his Paris years."
Reproduced from an acrylic painting on panel, this limited edition print is part of the Invader Series. This image is also available as a notecard
