This serigraph was designed and printed by Monte Dolack in 1977 to promote an exhibit of Bodmer's work at the Missoula Museum of the Arts.
Karl Bodmer was a Swiss trained artist who accompanied Prince Maximillan on his epic journey up the Missouri River in 1832-1834 to the White Cliffs of the Missouri in what is now Montana.
Karl Bodmer chronicled the expedition with very accurate and skillful drawings and paintings.
