This effervescent and colorful painting of the Old Faithful geyser in Yellowstone National Park was created by Monte Dolack in 2022. The painting is acrylic on canvas mounted to gessoboard and generously framed in solid walnut. The framed size of the painting is 40 x 52.
"This year Yellowstone National Park celebrates its 150th anniversary as the world's first and oldest national park. I painted this 36 x 48 acrylic painting to celebrate what early park visitors described as the Guardian of the Valley. This amazing geyser came to be known as Old Faithful which I first witnessed as a child when visiting the park with my parents in the 1950s."
